This policy explains what the Locomotive Geek publishing tool ("the tool") accesses, collects, stores and uses. Locomotive Geek is the owner and developer of the tool.
1. Who uses this tool
The tool is private. It is used only by Locomotive Geek, and only on Locomotive Geek's own YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@LocomotiveGeek. There is no sign up, there are no user accounts, and nobody else can authorise it against their own account.
If you are reading this as a viewer of the channel: the tool holds no information about you, other than a comment you chose to leave publicly on a Locomotive Geek video.
2. What is stored, where, and for how long
Everything the tool stores is kept locally, on Locomotive Geek's own computer. Nothing is sent to any server operated by Locomotive Geek, because there is no such server.
An OAuth access and refresh token for the Locomotive Geek YouTube account, so the tool can publish without signing in each time. It is stored in a local file and is never shared or transmitted anywhere except to Google when refreshing access.
A record of each upload: the video ID, title, thumbnail filename and publish time.
Comments and replies downloaded from Locomotive Geek videos, so the same comment is not answered twice.
Comment data is kept only as long as it is useful for answering viewers, and is deleted when no longer needed. Tokens are deleted when access is revoked.
3. How the information is used, processed and shared
The information above is used for one purpose: publishing Locomotive Geek videos to the Locomotive Geek channel and replying to comments on them.
It is not shared with anyone. It is not sold, rented, licensed, transferred, published or disclosed to any third party. It is not used for advertising, profiling, tracking or training any machine learning model.
4. Third party content and advertising
The tool does not serve advertising, and it does not allow any third party to serve content or advertisements through it.
5. Information collected from devices
The tool does not store, access or collect information on or from the devices of any viewer or member of the public. It runs on a single computer belonging to Locomotive Geek and reads only files placed there deliberately.
6. Google and YouTube
The tool is an API Client of the YouTube Data API. By using it, Locomotive Geek is bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

7. Revoking access
Access granted to this tool can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page:
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Select the application in the list of third party apps with account access and remove its access. Once revoked, the tool can no longer upload, edit or comment, and its stored token stops working.
8. Children
The channel and the tool are not directed at children under 13, and the tool collects no information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
Any change will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date.
